First Cut! Youth Film Festival is thrilled to announce that submissions for the 2021 festival are now being accepted!

Calling young filmmakers, aged between 12-24 years! Do you have a short film you want to see in one of Ireland’s biggest and most exciting youth film festivals? Then First Cut! wants to hear from you!

Festival events run from Saturday 17th April to Sunday 9th May 2021. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday March 5th 2021.

This annual festival is dedicated to showcasing new films by young filmmakers. This twelfth edition will be online, reaching out to a wider audience across Ireland and abroad. It will offer its usual rich programme of screenings, workshops and talks in a safe and inclusive virtual format.
