Culture Night 2021 | Meet the emerging directors making music videos for exciting Irish artists.

Our five YMVC (Youth Music Video Competition) 2021 directors; Anna Heisterkamp, Aisling O’Regan Sargent, Darragh Scott, Emma Murphy, Robert Bass, Eoin Byrne and Josh Meany, discuss their experiences of making professional music videos under the mentorship of noted director Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost.

In this deep dive into the creative process, the participants talk about collaboration and shared learning in their video making journeys, along with the insights and skills they have gained since beginning the process.

This year the directors were paired with renowned Irish m

usic artists Junior Brother, Bantum, Niamh Regan, Alex Tierney and God Knows, to devise and create professional quality music videos for their latest tracks.

We acknowledge the support and funding from the Arts Council of Ireland and Cork County Council in enabling this work to happen.

All this year’s music videos will be part of a special screening during First Cut Youth Film Festival 2022.
