Emerging Filmmakers Spotlight: Arran Tenzin Bradstock & Robert K. Buckley

First Cut! turns the spotlight on two young emerging filmmakers – Arran Tenzin Bradstock and Robert K. Buckley. Both directors will present powerful and idiosyncratic recent films that clearly mark them as unique cinematic voices. They will then discuss the making of these films and the ideas behind them.

Arran Tenzin Bradstock began filmmaking at age 9 in 2007, founding Three Degree Productions and going on to win numerous awards from multiple film festivals, most recently ’Spirit of Fresh’ at the 2017 Fresh Film Festival finals. To date, Arran has written & directed over 20 short films covering a variety of genres. He is currently studying Advanced FIlm & Television Production at St. John’s Central College, Cork.
The Cinnamon Sea (Robert K. Buckley) 19 mins
In a post apocalyptic world, two travelling performers happen across a young girl whom they must keep safe from a deranged cult.
Robert Buckley is a writer/director living in Dublin. He has recently directed It’s All Gravy & Don’t Be A Cliché, two visual excerpts for the Stefanie Preissner book Why Can’t Everything Just Stay The Same. He was also DOP on the short film Hush Clowns by Richard O’Connell which won the Elevation Short Film award in 2017.
