Each year First Cut! Youth Film Festival welcomes short films of every genre by young people from all over Ireland and from abroad. Each year, we get more and more entries from across a broad geographical sweep. The skill and imagination of young filmmakers is clearly represented by the diverse, vibrant and entertaining films that make up our two open call programmes.

Music Video Open Call Programme

First Cut! Youth Film Festival has always placed strong emphasis on the importance of music video, a wonderfully fluid and versatile form ideally suited to allowing the visual and storytelling imagination of emerging filmmakers free rein. We conclude our open call programmes with this diverse and hypnotic series of music videos.
